Building More Than a Store: The Next Chapter for The Collective

If you’ve ever renovated anything — a home, an office, even a single room — you know one thing for certain:

It never moves as quickly as you’d like.

Blueprints turn into dust. Timelines stretch. Decisions multiply. There are days that feel incredibly exciting… and days that test your patience in ways you didn’t expect.

And yet — here we are.

We are officially in the process of building the next chapter of The Collective.

Growth Is Beautiful (and Messy)

Expanding into a larger space has been in the works since shortly after we opened in September 2024. We outgrew our current footprint — which is a wonderful problem to have — but growth always asks something of you.

It asks for faith. It asks for flexibility. And most of all, it asks for patience.

Construction delays, supply chain hiccups, design pivots, budget recalculations — they’re all part of the process. Behind every “Coming Soon” sign is a hundred tiny decisions no one sees.

But here’s what keeps us moving forward:

The vision.

More Than Retail

This new space isn’t just about more shelves or more square footage.

It’s about creating something that feels like home for our community.

We’re building:

  • Room for more local vendors

  • Space for workshops and events

  • A place to gather, collaborate, and connect

  • A space where local artists can congregate and showcase their work

  • A hub where small businesses can grow together

We don’t just want to be a store you pop into. We want to be a place you linger.

A place where you meet friends. Where makers tell their stories. Where local dreams take up space.

The Heart of Okotoks

Okotoks has supported The Collective in ways we could have never imagined. Every purchase, every share, every kind word has brought us to this moment.

This expansion is because of you.

And while construction (and working from our home office) may test our patience, it also builds something stronger — foundations not just of walls and floors, but of community.

Thank You for Walking This With Us

If you’ve noticed a little dust on our boots or a bit of anticipation in our voice, now you know why.

Big things are coming.

Not overnight. Not without challenges. But with intention, heart, and a whole lot of gratitude.

We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you into a space that was built for connection.

More than a store. A community hub. Right here in Okotoks.

With excitement and appreciation,

Rachel
